Heading out for one of these summer evening meets at the Curragh on Saturday and hoping it will be a bit of craic. Apparently they throw on a bbq and music etc., so given a nice day it could be a decent evening.

However, I've taken a look at the racecard and am at a bit of a loss for the day.

Am thinking of the following - much guesswork as I couldn't find a single horse that I had 'noted' - but if anybody has anything for this meet I would be happy to hear it.

    5.25 Maiden - Followmyfootsteps

    5.55 Maiden - Amadeus Mozart

    6.25 - North Shore e/w

    6.55 - Ucanstep

    7.25 - Cougar Bay

    7.55 - Melody Island

    8.25 - Benjamin Franklin

    JAK.

Heading over there myself - but its not a great card ! Will be difficult to make a few quid. My selections....

5:25 Slaney Time (two decent runs)
5:55 Amadeus Mozart - looks easy for him here, but will be very short (maybe Spanish Armada for the f/c)
    6:25 Undercover Glamour
6:55 Tiffany Gardens - really fancy this one, was unlucky in previous race
    7:25 Helena Moloney
7:55 Raspberry Beret - Racing Post rates it as 5 lbs less than top rated horse, but is carrying 23lbs less - good enough for me!
8:25 If I'm chasing I'll pile into Benjamin Franklin !! If I'm playing with bookies money I'll back Walkinthemoonlight e/w

There really is nothing funny about it. On form, there was absolutely no reason to think that Benjamin Franklin would "romp" this.

You reckon. Wonder why it was 11/8 favourite then. Serves me right for backing Fallon.

If you don't know why he was 11-8 favourite for this, and odds on for his last race, then you really know piss all about horse racing. But we already knew that, didn't we?

5 winners from 7 the other day at good prices, the week before that I gave a 10/1 NAP winner and also an 8/1 winner. Must know something;)

You're a hero in your own world. What kind of idiot comes onto a forum and brags about having winners and feeling rich and oh my betfair account is bursting etc...but seems to go missing when he has losers or when somebody questions him.

You just questioned him, he'll go missing again no doubt. :)

Anyway, thanks be to jeebus that Dix Villez is running today as I never placed a bet yesterday but just posted that it was running. I should have checked the date. I'm a tit I am!
