I downloaded a template for my CV and it features layout tables which can not be seen when you preview the word document. The problem i have is that I want the document to look the same as the preview everytime it gets opened up.

    How can this be done.
Please checkout the example below. Thanks

which version of word - tables can be messy between versions
also have you checked page size and done a print preview with your printer selected

    (havent looked at the doc.)

Let's have a look at the template.

I see from your sample that you have a border on the top of the first box. Word will show borders but not gridlines properly on the preview!

You can also remove the gridlines from the doc
