Dreaming of psychic abilities (for want of a better title)

This is more of a question, than an actual dream. I might actually post the dream itself (one I had just now in fact), but I want to talk, or rather ask about.

Anyway, my question is essentially: What do you guys think having psychic experiences in dreams mean? Do you think this is a case of something paranormal, or is it some subconscious thing, or something like that? Either way, I'm asking this as a fairly open-ended question to some degree. I'll also accept talking about supernatural occurances in dreams, if the topic goes this way, but I would like to try to stick to that, unless you can justify the change to something else. I'm aware that dreaming is a very open-ended subject, so I wish not to restrict the nature of such, as after all, there may not be a paranormal occurence for this, but you never know, right?

If you feel you need more info on something, or want to see the dream, do feel free to ask me, because I'm aware that context can be everything in a dream.

When I was about 4/5 years old I dreamt I walked to my best friends house. I didn't actually know where he lived. But I walked the same way the next day, a there he was.

I've had more like that but that one stands out for some reason. They're not regular.

I don't think it's supernatural. I believe the mind picks up so many things during the day that it can only process while you're dreaming.

I appriciate what you are saying, but I don't quite mean it in the sense that you meant above. This event hasn't ever happened, nor will I expect it to happen. To be honest, it seemed a little out of place to me...

I think it really depends on the context and the abilities dreamed about. Because you spend quite a lot of time on the forum here and presumably time outside of that thinking about the paranormal and psychic abilities, it's to be expected that you would have related dreams from time. On the other hand dreaming about certain things in various different circumstances can have a wide range of different meanings.

If you want to explain the dream in some more detail you may get a slightly less ambigous, open ended answer (, but only slightly )

Dreams generally are a mixture of mental debris, anxieties from daily life etc. but there are also several types of "Psychic dreams" that indicate the dreamer has psychic abilities.Psychic and Precognitive dreams predict events that will happen or things you may see. They are usually vivid, colourful and memorable, when you wake up you are left with a lingering feeling of interest in the dream, your mind keeps remebering bits of it. The other main type of Psychic dream is when you dream about someone in the Spirit world. This can be a message from a loved one who is passed on but its usually symbolic. For example you if you see a deceased loved one in a dream, and they are smiling and happy, I believe this is a message from that person to let you know they are happy. Colours are symbolic too, each colour has a meaning and predicts something. For example dreaming of anything coloured green predicts travel. Dreaming numbers is very lucky and they can help if you buy lotto tickets. For example you could look at a watch or clock and see 10.30, so they are two lucky lotto numbers to try. We often Astral travel in dreams too, and visit different places, countries etc. This is different from Astral Projection. So all in all Dream analysis is fascinating and often quite a rich source of psychic content.
