Anyone know what model the Aldi DVD player on Thursday (€37.99) is and can it play divx/xvid? Doesn’t say that it does on their website and I don’t have the paper version of the special deals.

Anyone get one of these before?

Worst comes to worst I can take the trip out and see tomorrow.

Is it multi region or at least hackable?

To answer my own question, I went into aldi this morning and bought the player. I can confirm that the player is region free, I played Region 1, 2, 3 and 4 disks ok with no problems. It's a great bargain.
