I tried a few shots with my Canon A80 and an old Minolta 50mm lens reversed up to the A80. Got some nice close up shots, these are the best of them I think.....

    Comments please?

Great detail - but I could only look at the spider for a second - ick!

That's really quite inventive of you. More people should do this stuff. Did you actually tape it on the front or just hold it?

I love the spider! My friend wants to know what kind it is, if you know yourself.

    Thanks for the compliments!
The lens was just handheld, so the shots were very hit & miss...

I have no idea what the spider is, however it was about the size of a daddylonglegs.

To try to have a better chance of getting good shots, I have ordered an adapter tube and reverse coupler ring. So mounting the lens will be a bit easier :D

Re: the spider - I obliterated one of those creepy things yesterday morning with the hoover... never seen the likes of it before, as you say like a daddy long legs without wings, yick.

Re: the gear - Yay! Look forward to tons of macro shots from you - of things other than creepy crawlies of course.... :)

What I have is far from an ideal set-up, but I'm looking forward to experimenting! You will be happy to hear there will be lots more crawlers Elven!!
