I am hopefully getting a new kitten on Sunday and I have a 10 month old kitten already. The cat I have is a housecat and has never been in the company of other cats except once with my parents cat and they HATED each other. Does anyone have any advice on how to get them to get on with each other?

What sex are they? If they are both Toms, you might have some trouble. It all depends on their personality. If both are female, or there is 1 male and 1 female, you should be ok.

Males are much more forgiving than females so it more down to personality than anything the worse introduction is female to female they can be evil.
As it is hot have a look at the behaviour section on www.kittenadoption.ie

    hey

My sister raised cats and kittens for years and we always had this problem...put them in baskets and make them face eachother for a few minutes a day...that way they get to meet eachother and sus out whats going on!! Works wonders!!

Thanks for the advice everyone, I'm taking Monday and Tuesday off work so I can spend a couple of days with them to see how they get on with each other. I'll let you know on Wednesday ;)
