    Hi,

I'm looking for someone in the Balbriggan/Swords area to move my dish for me. It is on the front of the house at the moment (I've an end of terrace house) but needs to put on the side of the house and raised on a pole. Have to to this as I've got a letter from the Fingal County Council saying that I'm breaking the 2000 planning act by having it where it is.

Any sugesstions of local installers? or I could just go back to Sierra

    Cheers

    Mick

I'm interested in doing this myself, though I'm thinking of bundling it into a HD install later this year or early next.

In my case I want it moved off my chimney and perhaps installed at the back of the house with a stand-off bracket. This might be something you could consider. It seems like it might work well for me because the gradient of the roof is very low, and I think the dish might only need to be 30cm above the eaves at the rear. The side of the house is impractical for me.

I think you are going to be better off with an independent installer. Sky (I assume that's who you mean by Sierra?) will have no clue about anything non-standard.

A Sky dish can see over a normal slope roof with bottom edge only raised about 30cm above gutter.
