I have a nice little norinco .22 with a 10x scope which i had zeroed to 60 metres, very accurate and nice groups.I brought it out with me a couple of time shooting rabbits and whatnot but aftre about a month in my gun cabinet it seemed to be shooting off to the right(3 inches at 30 metres). When i tried to adjust it using the wheels at the side i seem to have bollixed it alltogether and now i cant get it to hit a 1ft target at 30 metres..what could have happened?

This is what normally breaks in budget scopes (I'm guessing that's what it was), the reticle adjustment fails, and you are left with a nice monocular that is useless as a gun sight. If it's under a year old yer still probably under guarantee.

What make of scope is it? Did you do the initial zeroing in yourself?

What's the chances of anyone else mucking about with it ...?

On most scopes , if you exceed the travel on the adjustments it's screwed.

Any mechanical shift in the rings/mounts ?

Have you tried bore sighting to get at least back onto your 1 foot target at 30m and then looked at the reticle position ?

One of the reasons scopes on ebay are cheaper than shops is that retailers and wholesalers here need to factor the cost of guarantees & replacements etc into their selling price.

Back to Ebay with you.:D Sounds like it wasnt a Zeiss or high brand scope.Unlikely that you will get a replacement?I would concur with Civ that the windage/elevation mech is bollixed
Remember the old stalking adage on scopes.Buy the best scope you can afford and spend your change on the rifle.

I havnt got a laser bore site and its a lever action so i cant bore sight it conventionaly. If i brought it up to courtlough, would they be able to do owt for me?

Courtlough are primarily shotgun but play alittle with .22 rifles.
From where I am standing I dont think the lads would go tinkering around with a scope that appears to be well busted from what your own post says.

If it was a Leupold or Zeiss it would justify getting it repaired but for a cheapo generic model it seems that its lifetime is up and is time to be rid of it.
Looks like it is time to go scope hunting....
