Im not one to organise anything.. Will leave it to 6th or Kennet however i like camping when i can get the chance to go (which is rarely). Anyway instead of castles why not somewhere that is more open where we can simply camp when we need to sleep. Somewhere like Donadea forest or Any haunted woods etc. Of course somewhere we can do it without scumbags... maybe somewhere with a graveyard etc....

Oh and we could get in a little stargazing if the sky is clear too!!

I was looking at doing this type of thing in Epping Forest over here, though naturally, only people who can get over to London would be able to attend! There'd also be no campfires allowed here if we did camp, so it'd be awkward, then ther'es the issue of if we'd be able to camp there anyway!

Anyway, I do like the idea, and I'll talk to 6th about it and see what he thinks...

Is that the place that was mentioned in an episode of Top Gear (Yes I watch it, the shame)?

Or was that Screaming Woods at Plukley(sp), the most haunted village in England - what about there?

I may be able to go on one before August, if not, there is definitely a colleague of mine (scientist) who would.

I haven't a clue... any TG watchers wanna give us a confirmation here?

Hmm... I'll need t do research on that place. I'll be in a better position to look at it in July.

Iirc, Spirals brought up the idea of Donadea recently, I think Zillah was going to check the possibility of access

I distinctly recall both of those events. I remember going on about Epping Forest as a side-tangent as well, seeing as it's another haunted forest.

Donadea in Kildare? Is that forest Haunted?
I lived near by as a kid, we used to play in there at night all the time!

Anyway, you can get a permit to camp there and light fires, we do it with the Guides, there is a nice clearing out of the way. If you still want details I can PM the number and address of the ranger.

    Tell me the lore!

I would be interested in going to Donadea or anywhere else in Ireland for a camping investigation, if its open to everyone. So count me in! :D as for UK its a no-no at the moment, perhaps next year though.
