Singleplayer Mods for BF2?

couldn't find a thread about this before, so apologise if I'm just repeating threads, but does anyone know any good mods for just single player. I'm not mad on multiplayer, simply because I'm rubbish at it and there are too many a$$holes that ruin the fun for everyone else. So I basically play the single player for a little every now and again, without fear of the bots screaming at me for being a "noob" or kicking me from the server because I got into a vehicle first! Sorry, ranting a bit. a lot of built up tension from online gaming! Anyway, any mods at all for Singleplayer?

Try the servers listed in the sticky above. Multiplayer is where the fun is and these servers are well admined so you shouldn't have problems on them.

I am same when it comes to multiplayer. I never want to play it. For a while there i lost my disc and i played the demo multiplayer instead. I had much more fun on that than I ever have on the real game. Most people there are super noobs so you can actually feel like your good for a change. Theres no stats either so you don't have to worry about how bad your kill/death ratio is. Gulf of Oman is the only level but you dont get bored when your winning. It's not patched either so be aware of a few small differences.

And if you have weapon unlockes you have an unfair advantage:o

What do you mean singleplayer? As in levels and plot and enemies rushing at you or loner "Nice boy, quiet" multiplayer with bots?

Multiplayer with bots, basically. Like the crack that allows more bots on the maps and isn't there something about having bots on the larger maps? (I remember that it was dodgy because the ai was never set for use in those larger maps.)

I've pretty much no interest in online play any more as it's just not worth the hassle (also at the moment my connection can cut out at a moments notice, that moment usually when I'm about to kill someone with the paddles! :mad: ).

Although I spend more time playing MP with desktop (now that it f%*#@ works again ), I've become quite adept with the SP side of it (I only use SP on my lappy, game's really too bad on it to play MP - everything on low, 800x600 etc.).

You want to go there for anything and everything SP with BF2.

And if you haven't got a Fileplanet account thingy to download maps/mods, go there instead (but check file names carefully, it's a hodge-podge of MP & SP stuff).

There are SP map releases to play in 16, 32 and 64 sizes for every single 'official' BF2 map, with bot support adjusted to map size. Just dig around

i am in the same boat and a big thanks from me too...can u unlock weapons in SP mode..?? i play a little bit of MP but like others here, their does appear to be a lot of muppets playing. last weekend i was killed more by my own side!

i have a few medals and awards, but i would like to see the other weapons on SP..

Yes, but if you use PB-enabled servers you gonna get kicked (and that includes the demo version, btw).

That's another reason why I keep the lappy SP-only (so I can hack away in impunity) and the desktop pure vanilla-only. But that's a luxury, I 'm well aware.

So, point your browser here for 'regular hacks' (extend time per map, increase tickets, unlock all 1st-level unlocks, etc.). Everything suggested on that page works, but do not downlad anything as there are virii (viruses) in the linked files. Instead, open your own files and type in the edits.

If you are going to play both SP and MP on same PC, I recommend backing up your vanilla files in a spare/new folder close by, and swapping the modded files for the vanilla files as and when required (modded for SP, vanilla for MP).
