RTE and RealPlayer streaming

Does anyone else think that RTE are missing out by only making their stream available in Real Player (.smil) format?

Where I work we don't have Real PLayer or permissions to install new software so I can't listen to RTE radio at all. Given that over 95% of computers have WMP installed wouldn't it make more sense to make the stream available to WMP as well?

I know historically Real Player were once kings of streaming content but given that good streams are available to all players now why can't they upgrade? Incidentally the BBC streams are also for Real Player only :(
