Trace Uncle Who Died At Anzio in WWII

Hi,
I just discovered that an uncle of mine died at Anzio (WWII) in 1945. Is there anyway of finding out what regiment etc he belonged to? Is there a list of ppl who died at Anzio anywhere?

The above link gives you a useful starting point. I assume he was with the British Army their OOB for the landing was;

* 1st Division
* 46th Royal Tank Regiment
* 2 Special Service Brigade (partial)
o No.9 Commando
o No.43 Commando (RM)

Though I suppose he could have been with a reinforcement unit that landed later

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission might also be useful

I have been trying to find details of my grand-uncle who was killed on the Somme but I am unable to find his name on this site.

Now that I have all this info on him who do I contact to get his service records? Is it the M.O.D. or his regiment?
