    Hi,

    I am interested in buying a new computer in order to run the latest games,run autocad,maintain a spec which will not be that dated in 6 months-1 years time.Looking to spend about €1500.What would people recommend?

    I dunno there is quite a price variation there among that selection but guessing some some price points here is what I would go for.

    Mid range 7600GT (not on your list)

    High end 7900GT (on your list)

    Top of the line 7900GTX (on your list)

    *It's not listed but if I were going top of the line I would get an ATI X1900 XTX instead.

    Oh yes and the very recently announced 7950GX2 if you really want to burn money but it is the king of the hill (requires monitor capable of at least 1600x1200 to get the most out of it).

    im a fan of ati's chips personally. so i would reccomend either the x1900 or the x1800.

    personally for value for money i have an x1800 with 256 gddr3 ram as they are now very good value for money and wont drop in price so much now.

    i paid £179 for my graphics card 6 months ago (X850XT) and its only dropped in value by 20-25% and nothing can challenge it yet.
