cant update to usb 2 driver?

    Hey lads,
    recently re built my da machine but the wasnt aware I had to install drivers to have usb ports USB two.
    Now the drivers came with the mother board but the instructions
    say to right click "Universal Serial Bus controllers"
    and update driver but all ~I get is a general tab with
    "Universal Serial Bus controllers" written on it?!?!?!?!?!

    Anybody any idea s how I can update the drivers???:mad:

    USB2 drivers are built into service pack 2 for Windows XP, install it (or you already have by the sounds of it) and it will take care of the rest.

    The drivers that came with the motherboard are "hotfix" drivers intended for the time when SP2 was not available, it is not recommended to install those seeing as SP2 has been available for some time now.

    In fact most of the drivers on the accompanying motherboard driver CD are probably quite old, you may want to track down more recent versions.

    yeah SP 2 is on, cant figure why they woild nt be thats why I used the driver cd. Only upgraded to Sempron +3400 so the drivers are pretty recent
