ok, I really want this done but last time I went in to get it done it got complicated.

    orbital1.jpg

^ what I want, except down a bit

So I presummed it would be €60 at the most....reasonable?

Went to one place they said I would have to get it pierced with seperate jewellery first (as in two seperate ring in the two holes) and then come back to put in the appropriate jewellery. Otherwise it could "curl".....I researched this piercing, never heard about it "curling". Anywho she said it would be €75.. ...for an ear piercing, rip off?

This made me wary, went to another place, the guy wasn't sure what I was talking about, so I decided to leave it :(

Anyone got it done, how much? Curling?

    Thanks

Cartiledge piercings have a tendency to swell thats why the first place was reccomending getting it done with seperate jewelery then wait for it to heal then do the orbit. Personally i agree with the reasoning on it as if its pierced as an orbit it has the possibility to cause some issues regarding migration and keloiding due to improper jewelery size. That said i'm sure if you shop around you can find some one who'll do it as a single piercing, i wouldn't but some one would.

It's two cartilage piercings for 75, that's very reasonable if you ask me.
Take your time with the piercing, follow the advice of the guy who knows how to do it right (the piercer), treat it as a project and make the final orbital the target.

I got three helixes done in Snakebite for fifty squids on Friday.

I got an orbital lobe done a couple of months back and Im going to follow it up with 3 more orbitals up to the top of my ear.
According to most piercers it is actually better to get it done as 2 separate piercings and when they heal you can make it into an orbital once its been measured properly.

It is more expensive to be honest but what would you prefer:
60€ + swollen ear + possibility of rejection = loss of piercing and €60
    or
    €75 + swollen ear + less possibility or rejection = happy guy/girl with a healed orbital :D

Getting it done with two separate pieces of jewellery just makes sense from a swelling point of view.

yeah, I can't see it healing too fast or nicely if thats the way you'd go about it..
I know a girl who got one and stupidedly left it in for like 8 months or something.
It was causing her way too much trouble, so she put seperate jewellery in it.
healed up nice and good and was able to swap the jewellery back over..
and could of saved herself 8 months of pain if she'd a done it sooner...

Yup the twoi rings are put in first to give the ear room to swell. An orbital piercing in the cart is usually only going to be 8 or ten mill meaning the two piercings are very close meaning local tramua is quite intense and going to swell more. If you put in the oribital from the start your more likely to have trouble with swelling in the coming weeks cause the piercings are going to want to move apart fromt the area swelling but the ring will be pulling them together.

Its only a couple of weeks like so get em done seperate is you safest bet.

Makes sense I suppose to get it done separate.

But seriously €75, are the prices always going up?

My Tragus last year €50 (girl I know from Austria got it done for €15)
    Cartilidge December €60
    Now this €75

I think I'll wait go abroad get it pierced...

Actually I think twas €55 for tragus. (thats in limerick)

I got it done with a needle, that makes a difference yeah?

Those are crazy prices. Snakebite, simple cartilage is 19 squids with a BCR. Get two of those, then have them swap teh jewellery out when it's healed up. Simple. And a needle shouldn't make a difference, it should be the standard.

Ok is that the price of the jewllery or to get it pierced and jewellery?

I wouldn't risk getting my cartilage pierced with a gun either, rather a needle....don't want it all deformed you know....

    Piercing plus standard BCR.
