Around the Ha'penny bridge, did anyone see it? 150,000 rubber duckies. amazing sight tbh. But the current was messed up, so it wasn't really a race at all...but it was still cool!

Some background information. (Duck "donations" are no longer being accepted, but regular donations are welcome)
    Does anyone have photographs?

They were still there tonight. How much will it cost to clean them up I wonder? Could take a chunk out of what was raised.

Like wow! Sounds fun! We don't have anything like it in the States that I know of. Although we do have an annual turtle race at this Irish pub in Newport Beach.

heh I was going to post my link for you but someone beat me to it!!!!

It was a bit of an anti-climax when they just dumped them all in from cardboard boxes... I expected them to be shot out of a cannon, helicopter dropped, or rocket propelled!

Did they go and clean them all up afterwards though?

Maybe a ducks reunited page should be started... if anyone got duck no. 95412 then i have him here to be reunited with his rightful owner :)

What was the story with the red and blue ones?

I'm in that! The Ha'Penny, I'm to the right of the guy in the red t-shirt..to the right of the pic. Thought I'd mention that!

Was there a winner?? The whole race failed...from the racing perspective. Best thing that's ever happened to the Liffey....I hope they remain there for weeks.

Did anyone see the swan prodding the duckies? Numina (the guy in the red t-shirt :) is gonna upload footage of the duckies and the swan onto youtube now..
