Can anyone tell me how these two correlate. What I mean by that is, the Law Society allows anyone with a degree to sit the entrance exams, do nurses who qualified before their course became a degree course qualify to be able to sit the exams.

I'm asking here because I contacted the nursing branch of the HSE,the NFQ and the Law Society itself and couldn't get a straight answer.

That's because there are no entrance exams for registering as a nurse, and the relevant body (An Bord Altranais) does not provide education, just accreditating others that do so.

You are simply required to have a relevant qualification, which includes the new degree, the top-up one year course for others with prior qualifications, a course recognised under European Union directives, other foreign courses, etc. An Bord Altranais (www.nursingboard.ie) deals with registration and with accreditation of courses.
