Extremely slow downloads

I just received a replacement (refurbished) XB360 from MS yesterday and I plugged it in and set it the same as my old one.

I'm using the wireless adapter and nothing has changed with my ISP or router since I sent the old machine off.

But unfortunatly when I tried to download some demo's yesterday it ages, took 1 hour to get 25% of Kameo and other demo's wouldn't download at all.

    Has anyone any suggestions ?

BTW my pc (which was not on) has had no issues with speed online and my connection is running at about 95% (according the online test).

It might not be an issue at your end, I've found live downloads to be somewhat unpredictable speedwise at times, I usually just start them when I'm going to bed in the evening, the x-box will shut itself off after 6 hrs, I think there's a setting somewhere o nthe dashboard for that, can't remember at the mo this old age thing has affected my mind.

The sometimes slow download speeds is one of the fixes that is supposed to be in the update that we should be getting shortly. As well as the ablility to start a download and then go and play a game whilst it's downloading so you don't then need to sit watching the progress bar for hours anyway.

Hope so. I got much faster speeds with my ethernet cable connected through my PC to my router and 360, than I do with the router connecting wirelessly to the 360 via the adaptor, real sluggish, and its in perfect range.
