I'll try keep this short. Basically during the summer me and a mate wanna temporarily dye our hair. I have red/orange hair atm, and wanna dye it black with blue streaks/parts. How much would this cost to get done? Can it be done? And finally what's the time period like how many washes before it washes out? I don't wanna have to go to the debs in september with this still in my hair!

Here's a handy pic showing the colour hair I have (on the left) and the colour I want (beard on guy on the right)

CAll the L'oreal academy on harcourt street - cant think of the number off hand. I get my hair done there all the time and it's brilliant - you can go as mad as you want or just get one colour all over.

Basically they look for models to get there hair done by people getting a loreal academy qualification. All the hairdressers are qualified so not inexperienced students (ie your hair wont fall out!), they're just getting another qualification. They have f"ashion techniques" classes where you can get what ever the hell you want done or then "basic colour" classes for something less outrageous. The blue will wash out relatively quickly, by about 8 - 12 weeks and then you can just put another colour on over this. It's free for your first colour and €20 thereafter. They do cutting classes aswell which are always free.

    Hope this helps

    You're Dave Mustaine!!!! :)

Seriously though it would be easy enough to dye your hair colour. Anywhere will do it. The blue might fade out after a few weeks but you could always put it back in yourself with a home colour.
