It's just my hand. I love it

This started with a conversation we had after this hand. One of the players raises to 4xBB gets one caller (who was kinda low stacked). Flop comes 458 rainbow. First player bets 4xBB again, and the other guy pushes all-in for around 4 more BBs. The first guy calls and turns over AA smiling. All-in turns over 67o. No help on turn or river and Aces lose the hand. The aces with aces was a little anoyed that he called a preflop raise with 67. The guy just replied it's my hand.
We talked about it for a bit. And its just got me thinking.
So what hand do you love, your dark-horse moneymaker. Do you have one? Do you think it's a pointless concept. I don't mean a once off time, where you did it and it paid off. A hand you like to see when you look down.

yeah KK is kinda gone down in my estimation ;)

Q10 suited is my underdog hand....I think I read/heard somewhere is statistically the most successful hand or somesuch....which is ridiculous when you think about it but I still like it

I have a love/hate relationship with my AA or KK pocket pairs. I love them because YEAH i got AA!! I hate it coz I know i'll have to go all the way with them, even if I know in my heart the guy opposite me has something better!

what sites do you play on and what's your username?

JTs is my favourite by a mile. I feel more comfortable playing it in a raised pot that AA/KK. The implied odds more than make up for it's apparent dodginess.

TBH Its the laydowns that get you in a position to win tournaments.

I just love AA, followed by KK and QQ and AKs. AKo and JJ are pretty good too though. I usually do ok with those hands. TT is good aswell. Those are some of my favourite hands.

89TQ single suited in spades. When the board flushes it's a spade flush 38% of the time.

AJ (off or suited) without a doubt! I have won countless all-in hands with this, often when behind before the flop.

Second most liked hand: 77. I've only been playing poker for about 6 months but I've won with 77 vs. AA twice!! 7s is also by far my most frequent trips/quads when I'm not all-in.

I seem to get that with pocket 5s. Just get trips with it alot i guess.

    AA obviously.

However I find any pocket pair profitable simply because absolutely noone seems to think about flopped sets in this country and they pay off monster against TPTK or two pair.

There are good Game Theory reasons for having a "favourite hand" like 85s but noone has given it here nor do I think they are considering it :)

    DeV.

I love the way threads like these bring out of the woodwork all kinds of people who have no interest in threads about how to play their hands. Poker is great.

I have a bit of a soft spot for JJ, I seem to flop a set with this hand more than any other. I'm a big fan of all pocket pairs really, not too gone on any other hands with the exception of Q10s.

For years it was K5 suited in hearts i played the hand like it was AA (i had an overpair to the flop) regardless of wether it hit or not and ruled with it.

I am not sure why but as i became more entrenched in the game i gave up playing the hand ( i dont remeber it losing )

Now i like suited 79 but i prefer any 2 cards and position

My favourite is J9 (suited or not).

Least favourite is AJ, been knocked out of more tourneys with it than any other hand. Now that I can finally (sometimes) lay down AJ, AQ is becoming a rival to AJ as most hated.

Mine is Q-10, and I prefer when it's off suit. I'm a little surprised that a few others have it as one of their favourites as well. I though I was the only sick puppy that like it!

    Yeah J7 all the way!
Statistically proven that more sevens and jacks hit the flop than any other card*
