Peavey Speakers...

My band has had to change drummer and the old drummer took his bins and trailer with him. We cant afford a trailer so must get 15" bins as anything larger wont fit in our cars.
All we want them for is small venues, as for larger places we have stuff. Just cant usually transport it :)
We have full range tops which are really good quality, but are made for wall mounting in a club and thus are REALLY unstable on a stand.
We want to get tops that wont fall on someone and avoid any litigation.
Also we have serious money constraints. Anway...

Does anyone know if this system sounds ok? Its ONLY for vocals and kick drum.

Does anyone have any recommendations? We would prefer to have 10" tops for small pubs for avoiding the hassle of extra heavy **** and being difficult to fit any more equipment in a car.

Why not get 2 15" full range cabs instead of a 2x10 + 2x15 rig? Ive heard great things about them peaveys for the price, just make sure you get something like a 2x400w and a 2x800w amp (ie decent powered, dont power all four speakers off of the one amp) and a nice crossover.

Hate to spoil your spending but I once owned those Peavey bins, they're feckin huge. Im not mad on Peavey in general...

Check out the dB Technologies Opera range, its active so can be scaled up or down for different gigs.

As stated above I would also be inclined to say you could think of 2 x 15" tops as a better option than your 10" tops and 15" bins...
