Waterford vs Tipperary

Just wondering what people think of Waterfords chances against Tipp on Sunday??

In my opinion we won't go far this year, Ken McGrath & John Mullane are injured and Eoin Kelly is suspended. The only good news is that Philip Maher was injured in a club game a few days ago so he wont be lining out for Tipp.

Have we any chance? Our team is pretty much the same as last years, we've a couple of new players coming through, it looks like Dennis Coffey will play at corner back after playing all the league but not much different!!

Hard to see Waterfors getting past Tipp missing those players.

Philip Maher has recovered from his injury and will line out against the Deise on Sunday.

Tipp to win this one, I've a feeling that Waterford's best days are behind them.

With those players missing for Waterford, i cant see them having much chance. But ya never know what could happen. tipp havent been playing the best of hurling all year so dont doubt anything. Then again on the other hand, their form may pick up and they play really well for a change. But, despite supportin Tipp, i still cant see past Cork for another All_Ireland this year

Cant really see Waterford getting past Tipp. They are missing some of their most important players, and they will have to find some way of stopping Eoin Kelly, which is a lot easier said than done! I wouldnt totally write off Waterford but i cant see past Tipp for this one.

    Should be a good match.

Good old BC lived up to his sensational reputation by pulling off a cracking double save. He's something else.

Pretty disapointing game.Lack of intensity, the crowd didn't really get into it,although some of the play(and wides)were horrid.

Wasn't impressed by either team.Waterford's full back is weak to say the least,Walsh should be in midfield and big Dan full forward.Despite not playing particurly well,Waterford still had too much possessin, with decent distribution from the center forward line and an in form free taker it would have gone close.Tipp are a one man team-and Murphy showed that Kelly can be held for large parts of the game.Maher is a real weak link at full back,I can see Corcoran having a field day.And those goals Waterford gave away won't come so easy against Cork's full back line.

Looks like we are going to have wait for Galway or Kilkenny for a serious match.

Even tho i support Tipp, and I should whole-heartedly fight this statement, Im not even gonna bother cos its true. The Cork half-back line is the best in the country and were gonna have to play the ball over the top the whole time. Although i do disagree with ya sayin Tipp are a one man team. They do only have one proven scorer, but the others have to get the ball to him in the easiest of positions for him to be able to do what he does best...score points. Some good [layers there but not enough to match up to Cork yet this year

Tipp are definitely not a one man team they're a two man team , take Kelly and Cummins out of it and who else do they have , expect Cork to run away with the Munster Final

Don't get me wrong-I rate a lot of the Tipp players.Corcoran,Curran,Morrisey etc and I've always liked Lar Corbett even if he does seem to be a bit erratic. But that center forward line is going to get nowhere against Corks and with Kelly the only proven scorer and Brian Murphy improving all the time its going to take more then some good ball winners in the forward line to win the final.

As good as Cork are though, there is weaknesses.Deane and Kenny seem to be coming into form, but they were struggling at tmes for the last couple of years.A big man in on Diarmiud should cause a lot of trouble and is the best chance Tipp having of getting some chances outside of Kelly. Our forward line is hardly stunning-Murphy offers very little and Timmy McCarthy seems there simply to frustrate his opposite number.Dealing with the midfield and center half back line though...:( Babs has got some serious thinking ahead of him.

I would like to see Tipp do well in the quarter final though-Kelly is a genius and an absolute pleasure to watch.

    Wahey, my second cousin.

Anyway, I could never see Tipp doin anything against the Cork half-back line. O Hailpin and Curran are the best in the game in their positions. Tipp need a big game from O Grady, he should make it physical in an attept to upset the Cork lads. Babs is a genius so he has some ace up his sleeve. I still doubt Tipps chances but ya never know, anything can happen in sport
