Scary Ads,....

We get some pretty bizarre adverts here, this is true.
We have all those seatbelt stomach churners, the one with the woman directing traffic with heartburn who suddenly talks to a driver and turns into a female backing dancer for the video 'THRILLER', not to mention the recent poster campaign with the lung of a smoker.

But this, has to be the scariest, most bizzare image I have ever seen.

Ever seen that "horror" movie "IT"?

    http://adsoftheworld.com/media/print/mcdonalds_baby_ronald

Whats the scariest ad you have come across of late?

I'll always remember those IRA ads they used to show about 12 years ago. They tormented me, I still find it hard to listen to the song they used.
"Cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon..." *shudder*

I'm starting to think that I dreamt this add because no one I've ever asked can remember it. I'm not sure what it was about but I think it was either for mince pies or the FA Cup. It went like this: It starts with a little cute looking baby calf standing in a field with its mother, the little baby calf is talking away asking all kinds of questions that you would expect a little kid to ask its mother, then it says something along the lines of "Mammy what will I be when I'm all grown up?". And then the screan cuts to a big fat bastard taking a massive bite out of a mince pie. It was just so unexpected it kinda stunned me a bit. Please tell me someone remembers this add because if I imagined it then I'm gonna start believing what that behavioural analyst from the PWO said about me.

That blasted ad with the Zombies dancing in a shopping centre to the song that starts off 'theres things i havent told you i go out late at night...'

thats as much as i can watch then i flick off. that makeup job they did on them was very good, freaky looking..

And to the OP, that baby ronald is really freaky looking, what parent would let their child get made up in that garb...

Some pubs have that poster on a coaster (what poetry!). I've a load of the coasters, they're great when guests come over for tea. Especially if you're in college with me because she looks like someone in my year.

It's ****ign brilliant! And deffo photoshopped... Trust me, you can't paint someone that young (for practical reasons, if not legal). Clever idea, though.

Scary ads? Any drink driving ad shown here over the last year or three. Especially considering people STILL do it.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

No, I think his offside statement was meant as a comic reaction to the previous post and inherently needed a laughter response to work.

Rumour has it that its real, and the parents said it was OK to broadcast it, so that it may get people to cop on.

That add for the yellow toe-nail treatment thingy. The germ walks up to a huge foot lifts the big-toe-nail with a kick and jumps in underneath

Don't think that's the case. It was shot entirely with a mobile phone though, which is a first. link

Oh God yes, that ad is worse than fingernails down a blackboards for me.
Another one I never liked is the Tango ad from years ago with the giant orange scottish thing without any legs. Too wierd for me.

There's a chunk of ads over here at the moment for an anti-aids campaign.

The series is a set of Pictures, each of stuff like fencers, ice-hockey players, mo-bike riders....all doing their sport in the buff.

There's a tv ad for it as well.

Its pretty freaky stuff, at least the first time you see it.

Like scarey ad? I remember one they showed us in school years ago to try and keep us from smoking someday. I was little then, but I remember it to this day. There was this famous actor, Yule Brenner, who played in a lot of old films. Starred in a musical, The King and I. It was a no smoking ad done by him, just him on the screen looking at you. He said something to the effect that, "If you are watching me on this film, it means I am dead."
