Yes, I have returned, albeit wrecked!

I kinda didn't get a proper look around because I was too busy finding the Copped Hall, which is nearny (read 2-3 miles away), plus I was quite underprepared! I'm setting aside a whole day to look around - because doing it after prior engagements was exhausting! Either way, i now have an idea of which station to go to, depending on the location I want. I also need to detail where the actual paranormal spots are, because the place is massive! Certainly not something to be done in an hour or two's walk anyway...

If I plan on holding an investigation there, I'm gonna have to go get permission from the Corporation of London, which I'll look into later... of course, there'd be hell to pay if a leaf was put out of place - they're very strict about keeping the place in pristine condition... and please, please please for the love of god, don't go upsetting the commoner's cattle! :p

PS: Mary, didn't get to check out Piercing Hill yet, will do so next time.

    Hi Kennett,

If it's any help, I believe the Most Haunted crew had their experience in an area called 'Loughton Camp' in the forest.
I'm going over to London again this October....definitely setting a day aside to go here!
    Good Luck

If you're coming over to London, lemme know (if you like) and I'll walk around the place with you, seeing as by then I'll have known the area a bit better... I intend to go over a bit more before October, however I'm preparing myself better for the next times!

Oh that would be excellent thanks a million Kennett! Just looking at maps of the place...I understand why you didn't get to see much of it! It's bloody HUGE!! Photos I've seen of it look gorgeous though.
Can't wait to go back to London....I absolutely love it. My Dad was from London so it feels as homey as Dublin does to me. Maybe, if you don't mind, you could give me suggestions of some other 'haunted' places to check out while I'm there??

6000 acres, I'd say that constitutes "bloody HUGE!!" alright! Anyway, I know how to get to Epping town via the Forest now, which can be good, provided I don't get too lost :p

That's pretty cool... never liked Dublin City myself for some reason, London is nice, but I love Brighton, not surprising as I was born there :D

I know of two in the London area that I'm gonna be doing further research on; Copped Hall (near Epping Forest) and Eastbury Manor House (in Barking). I'm gonna go to Bolling Hall (Bradford) at the end of this month (June) as well..

Dublin's definitely lost most of it's charm at this stage which is such a pity, it was a great city.
Brighton is another place on my list of places to go (which is very very long!!)
I also want to check out Bath this year, if I can. My Dad spent a lot of his childhood there and told me lots of stories about it. It looks absolutely beautiful, and full of ghosts too!

    You're going to be busy!

What about St Pancras Hotel? Saw this place back in my days of being an avid Most Haunted viewer and did a bit of research myself and thought it looked well worth a visit. Not sure how you'd go about getting access to it though. As far as I know, it's all closed up.

It must have lost it as I started visiting it... O_o

My list is fairly long, and also includes other places not in the UK, I love travelling! :D

Sounds good... I've yet to go myself... I wanna do Cambridge first though...

I certainly am... hope I have time to rest, lol

Hmm... not sure, I'll look into it at a later stage. Leave it with me...

Yeah, economically, we've been doing really well since the mid nineties, but it definitely came at a price. I'm so tired of watching them pull down beautiful old buildings full of character and building ugly apartment blocks :(

There's pretty much nowhere I wouldn't like to see! Japan is probably close to, if not number one at the moment. I spent a lot of time in college studying Japanese art and culture, and I've always wanted to learn to speak Japanese. It's just finding the time to fit in all that learning that's the problem!!

I agree, they really shouldkeep the old buildings... I mean London has done well to keep theirs, and I'm sure it helps with the vibe of the city. I sincerely hope the government over there get some cop on before all of the heritage sites, etc over there are ripped down to make room for "modern stuff". Of course, all things do come at a price, something I've been learning, much more so today than any other time...

I'd love to do Japan myself, but Prague is on the top of my list atm, looks like a wonderful city... I wouldn't go to it alone though, need to brush up on my German or something like that, don't think they speak English there, or much. Regarding Japan, I'd love to go there myself, though I think I'll be staying mostly in Europe for the next few years, though I may do India and the States sometime... Japan would be a good place to go though, seems really cool. I also want to do China :)

    Thanks Andy :)

Have you heard about the new motorway that's being built beside the Hill of Tara? My Mum lives beside Tara and it's my sanctuary...it's one of the most beautiful places in Ireland and in my opinion the spiritual centre of the country. It's an absolute disgrace. I was somewhat involved in the campaign to stop it/move it further away but our excuse for a government always gets it's way. It's way too late and I'm way too tired to rant, but it makes me angry!!

Ooh yeah, Prague is way up there on the list too! America too...I'd love to do a cross country journey. I'm really chuffed though...I'm getting to go to Budapest in December for my best friends wedding. Can't wait for that.

That sucks, and yes, it is a disgrace... :( They want to build a bypass along the grounds of Charleville Castle, which is another disgrace... soon enough, Ireland will become faceless and have no culture :(
