As winters suggested a new thread for this i thought id start it.

Ok so what way could it work? What rules? Infantry? Unlocks? Explosives? Flag by Flag? Feel free to let loose all that craziness that resides inside each one of your bf2 fanatic heads!

-Based on BF2Max mod (inf only) (Anything but Vanilla)
-Unlocks if possible(not sure if u can with this mod?)
-20 to 30min rounds.
-As Molc suggested. Teams are pulled out of a hat.
-Perhaps an alternate night. I vote Friday as I'm saving money and dont go out on Friday. But Im sure we could come up with one that suits all.
-Baseraping allowed if no flags left. (if u get into that situation u deserve it.....oooohh contriversal)
-Maybe even twice a week, as the last one seemed to drag on for months.

A Session of beers at the end.

Do NOT do these as flag by flag games. That is THE WORST nd stupidest rule ive ever come across in my life in BF2 matches

and flag by flag as in the have to be taken in sequence? i think thats a great rule if small numbers.....

its not trust me. sounds good int heory, in practice it jsut ridiculously easy for the defending team to sit back and nade spam the flag as soon as anyone tries to cap it

bf2max would be ideal, no unlocks - has to be an even playing field for everyone.

would not be in favour of flag by flag.

Unlocks aren't available on unranked servers since the 1.3 patch anyhow.


If there was a problem with the last league it's that a lot of people who don't use irc turned up at the last moment to find out what was happening and where to play and who with.

If it could be possible to have the server details posted in advance and players just join the server, join the side that had the least amount of people and then join a squad that needs players.

Inf was great fun but Ia'd have nothing against using jeeps. Let's just take tanks/APC and airpower out of it.

I want all out vanilla with helicopters and tanks and everything. Enough of this bullshit infantry only crap. Hell, if we're getting a lot of people why not supersize with teams of 10+

Its not really any sort of league then, is it? Its mostly just a weekly game that goes on forever.

Well the last league didn't work out. It started great but then died towards the end (partly due to clan rubbish).

So the same thing again but with different teams?

Last league didnt die cos of clan antics, It dragged on for too long.

On second thoughts, no unlocks for fairness.

I'm back from 2 weeks of the best weather I've ever seen in Ireland in the past 20 years and back to BF2.

Why not just have a locked 40 or so player server on chosen night with voip enabled and have people join. Whatever team they join they play in for the rest of the night.
