Help with annoying pop-ups!!!

    Realy could use some advice here, I keep getting pop-ups teling me my PC is infected with spi ware, ran Ad Ware it found nothing, down bottom right hand of the screeN i keep getting an icon which keeps linking me to this add http://www.thespyguard.com/?aff=103 realy realy realy annoying:mad: , anyone know how to get rid of it???

    use Spybot, microsoft also have a spyware remover now which can be downloaded from their website.

    also what browser are you using? if your using internet explorer stop and use something like firefox http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

    This could be what you have.

    In any case, install Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware and make sure your anti virus software is up to date.

    Yup use a combination of Spybot - Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware and Microsofts Windows Defender to remove any spyware present on the system plus so a scan with an anti virus program as well just in case.

    Make sure in Ad-Aware and Windows Defender cases that you do a full system scan not a smart/quick one.

    Also Hijack This is useful for tracking down rogue programs loading at startup.
