Eruo forces and 1.3

I was thinking of asking this in one of the already started 1.3 threads but it is a kinda seperate issue and I havent seen any one else with this problem.

Anyway when I try go for some tanking on smoke screen ( or any other EF map ) i get unmodfided content issue. When I checked my ea downloader is said my EF was not installed so I installed it again and still no joy. Do I need to install 1.3 again inorder for it to patch EF but it seems like 1.3 uninstalled my EF cause it was working before 1.3.

Any one got any idea or had this problem? I know not a lot like EF but I get a laugh hearing the Marvin the Martin voice on the EU side.

'unmodified content' error as you probably know is when not all of the files from a patch or setup get copied to your HD. Most aof the time it will stop you from even connecting to the map.

I can't explain why exactly you get the error just with EF though as the 1.3 patch didn't afaik alter any of the EF map folders, just the main game .zip packages that would affect all other maps.

But I do know that as soon as you install EF you must reinstall the 1.3 patch again so it's worth ding that at least.


If you decide to reinstall everything than the order is :

BF2
SF
1.3 Full
EF
1.3 Full

Yeah thanks ponster that what I was thinking but it just seemed that mu first go at installing the 1.3 removed my install of EF but sure i`ll try it later on tonight when I get home and sure its still worth knowing for those out there that dident know.

So posnter I tried to do that last night and when I tried to run my 1.22 -1.3 incremental it said I dident have 1.22 installed. Witch was fair enough. Do i need to get the full 1.3 to reinstall the patch?

yes you do , either that or else you need all the incrementals .
To use the 1.22-1.3 you would need to have it patched up to 1.22 . IF you had the full 1.22 and didn't want to d/l the full 1.3 then you could use the same method of installation as above , just adding the incremental as you go , but it is hardly worth the extra effort .

yeah i`ll go for the full install. Not that i even play EF that often but I did pay for it and I wana play it the odd time.

Be careful getting the patches off EA site they get corrupt by about 1kb so fail during patching. Gamershell has the full 1.3 patch probably best to get it from them @ really fast speeds.

yeah thanks. I have another source though called www.DrappersGaff.com I just have to drive round his house and get it off him thats if his dog dont eat me first.
