selling your car on ebay.ie

    Was thinkin of sellin my car on ebay.ie. Have it in cbg and autotrader and since ebay now have an irish domain, i was contemplating putting it up there as an extra option to sell. Has anyone done this and experience doin so??

    Yes, and if you do so, you are at risk of having your auctions ended and/or being suspended. In some cases, the auctions may be ended without your fees being credited.

    Wouldn't agree with the fake bidding, totally undermines the whole thing. If there is a reserve and Buy it Now price, then there is no need for that.

    Also, does the "Buy it now" option not become unavailable once people start bidding?

    @powermac, selling a car privately can take a long time in Ireland (I was at it for ages and ages), I don't know if eBay will help things. Check the motors forum, there have been lots of posts there about the best way to sell your car privately. IMO autotrader is not one of the better sites; cbg and carzone probably have better coverage.

    You are correct, the BIN option dissapears when the first bid is made.

    I don't think that's entirely accurate. You obviously have choices you can make in this regard when you list the item.
