We are at the last two tables in MTT when on an unraised BB i flop open ended straight draw I call a small flop and small turn bet from SB and when he checks the River which makes my straight i push my stack i slightly cover the SB

He thinks for a while calls and mucks his cards down and leaves the table when i show the straight

Then two players at the table insist on seeing his hand which the dealer will not show unless i ask for it
I say i am not interested but they call the TD over and ask for the cards to be turned saying we all want to see
the TD asks me and i say i have no interest whats so ever in seeing the hand of a player who has busted out so they are mucked

I then get harangued from two boys as if what i was doing was bad poker ettiquette

Its up to you if you want to see the cards i'd imagine. Pair of arseholes to go on about it, getting the TD and all!

Im thought that both hands should be turned over in an all-in confrontation.

They are idiots. Who cares? You won, he lost, get on with the game.

You did nothing wrong etiquette wise, it was the other 2 whose actions leave a lot to be desired. Don't worry about it!

    First, learn some Russian

Second, grow a stubbly bear and get your head shaved

Maybe get a knife scar across your cheek as well

Then, next time you get two idiots like this whinging, pull out a flickknife, start cleaning your nails with it and muttering to yourself in Russian all the time casting filthy looks at them....

    That'll learn 'em

They may be arseholes and rude but they are entitled to see his hand. They dont need your permission they just need a competent TD. Firstly its all in and a showdown, however the main reason they can ask to see his hand is to stop collusion and chip dumping (ie: the guy mucks a higher straight or flush, because he wants you to have his chips).
Its annoying when people use rules like this to gain information (though what info they are going to get that might be useful from a player who is out I dunno) but thems the rules.

    DeV.

What would happen to a player in the fitzwilliam and GJP if it was found on request a player show his folded hand that it was a higher straight or flush that was folded?
