Congestion in Blanchardstown

I am considering commuting to Dunboyne from Blanchardstown/Castleknock (by car as there seems to be no bus that gets there for 9). Just wondering if anyone know how long that would take or how bad the traffic is in Blanchardstown or Clonee during rush hour?

    Cheers!

It's really really bad, but if your only coming from Dunboyne, it shoudn't be to bad. I wouldn't even dare to give you an estimate though. I'd imgaine it'd be anywhere between 10 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the traffic.

Lucky you ain't going the other way...:)

You should be fine going that way. Apart from that stretch in front of the shopping centre in the evenings

Easy enough, I commute Carpenterstown - Ashbourne in the mornings, takes about 30mins, via the Navan Road. Blanch itself is a hold up from about 8:30am, but if your on the main roads by then you're laughing

I commute from Blanch to Navan every day and it only takes me about 40 minutes door to door.

Easiest way would be to cut down by the shopping centre onto the N3, go on past the Damastown/Mulhuddart exit and then come back off the dual carriageway just after the road narrows (petrol station on your left) and go into Dunboyne that way.

I've done this myself around 8.30/9am and haven't gotten held up anywhere along the way.

The first 70 bus from town departs there at 7am with an estimated journey time of 70 mins so it should be in Dunboyne around 8:10. Maybe you can start your job early and finish early.
