Don't know if this should be here but here goes....

Basically myself and a friend will be moving to London soon and we need to move a small amount of belongings over there from Dublin. Here they are

    -- A 21" TV
    -- 2 PC's
    -- 2 17" monitors
    -- A weights bench ( small fold-up one )
    -- Free weights ( 50kg total )
    -- 2 Guitars
    -- A guitar stand
-- 2 suitcases full of clothes.
    -- A playstation 2 and an XBOX

We have 2 options, but we dont know too much about the second one.

-- We can load the stuff into my car and get the ferry over. Go over there on a satruday and come back late on sunday. Stay overnight in London maybe in a mates house. I think that will cost about €320 for the boat, €50 for car insurance for mate for 2 days (optional), and about €100 for petrol.

-- We can get some company to ship all our stuff over to London. I have no experience doing this and I have no idea how much it would cost. Anyone here have experience doing this ??

Thanks for reading appreciate any replies :)

You can get much cheaper fares than €320.

Check the links in the following post, AFAIK Norse Merchant are doing some special offers ATM of around €90 each way Dublin-Liverpool.

Cool ta for the links. Norsemerchant seem to be doing a good deal for oneway to Liverpool. Shipping all that gear over would cost at least €530 euro so thats out of the window with that idea. I think I'll drive over with the stuff.

I am moving to london later this month. Will be shipping goods over in a freight box. I'm sure we could come to some sort of arrangement. What dates are you looking at?
