Another great show from the MAAC in Kilbeggan this sunday, rain held off too which was a blessing.

There was everything there from stationary steam engines, to hummers, a huge collection of model cars, candy floss & magnetic theraphy bracelets.

I had some trouble driving, think my carb needs some TLC and I also fried a coil on the way home :( but mustang69 had a spare :)

    Great day, thanks guys

Great show, who else went? Blew a brake light, exhaust is working loose and over 55mph the (new)fanbelt slips like crazy causing the car to overheat, few jobs for next Saturday, oh and on the way home spotted a Lotus Esprit JPS

    Grand day out, alright.
Saw the Mustang - nice car, love the mats.
Saw the Mercedes, Andreas, just missed you - you were on your way out.
Saw the blue 850 and a very yellow Opel.

Saw a number of cars for sale... how long can I resist?

It certinly was a great show. I saw your car mustang68, great condition, love the colour. I bought the Irish Vintage magazine, didn't get a chance to have a proper look at it. There was a few nice Beetles for sale, if only I'd kept up my SSIA. There was a yellow American car there, not sure of the make, but it was parked nest to a 04-LS Dodge Ram. The car was for sale I think, the guy was revving it with a crowd around it and it sounded savage. It kind of made me rethink my 1300 Beetle in favour of a big V8.

enjoyed the show. Lots of US and UK cars.

There was a mint silver Guiletta. Caught up with it on the way home.... doing a steady 40 in the hard shoulder, little bit of smoke.

    Also a nice Alfasud.

Owners should put up a schedue of when they will stand with their car (even if it's only for 30 mins) so if you want to a peek inside you have a chance.

That is such a good idea as there were a ton of cars i wanted to have a poke at and no owner and you also don't want to spend all day at the car. Maybe it could be put on the sheet you fill out on your way in.

(as an aside, I keep an eye on the car the car the whole time, once when I came back I found two guys leaning against the car having a chat, easy knowing they weren't the ones who have to wash the car, wax it, pay for paint etc.)

Sorry missed the show:( Had to do some work on the ranch! At least the weather held up well. Where's all the photo's?:D It gets my goat when I see people at that too, so I end up standing like a soldier along it, little do people know the time you put into a car to bring it to a show.
Rant aside, looking foward to Mosney, look for me under the TEC stand:D

Yea, it was great day.Got talking to that guy who owned the blue 72' fastback. he was a steward, lovely car. That 68 convertable for sale raised a few eyebrows, got to hand it to the guy though, he stood by the car all day and answered any questions that were thrown at him, he must have been desperate to part with it.There was a very nice Monte carlo parked in front of me, sounded awesome and in very good condition.luckily I had no trouble with car, actually I haven't since I bought it except for a dirty battery terminal, which is actually very lucky, because I haven't a clue. Three cheers for 69 for coming to 68's recue.
(actually it might be an idea to start getting a little stock of spares together for myself, coils etc, my luck cant last forever.)
    and a few pics

Hey nice pics, you included the front end of mine, cheers:D
This one is a sad case, could be a cracking car, but seems very neglected, there is moss growing on the window rubbers. Seems to be a bit of a daily driver though, I've seen it around a quite a few events.
