Just got this in an e-mail:
Survey on Sky Sports web site asking to name the greatest ever foreigner
(obviously An Irish man) to grace the premiership. Roy Keane is in a
disappointing 14th place at the moment with a month of voting left.

Spread the word, time to influence another poll, go to:

    www.premiershipsgreatest.com

Lest we forget the Wolfe Tones incident! :D

Currently lurking at no. 20 - Phillippe Albert, and when you have a look through the list, it doesn't get any better. I was biased and voted for a fellow Lifford man. Guess who?

Didn't know Klinsmann was from Lifford.

    done.
cue the slew of posts saying that this is a stupid idea and that anyone taking part is stupid because *insert reason here*.

ideally though i would have liked to have voted for maradonna, but he never played in the premiership.

Hmmm yes thats a drawback, thats like saying someone from Japan was the greatest ever Irishman, but unfortunately wasnt Irish...

Its a crap list and I just hopefully made it crapper by nominating Ali Dia.

The Irish tend to take these over
    Everyone remembers the Wolfe Tones

A lesser known one happened a few years ago when AC Milan started a poll for their greatest ever player. Some little known Iirsh player beat Paulo Maldini to win it.
