help playing mp4 file

    i d/l a mp4 file 500mb and i cant play it in wmp or divx is their any program that play any movie file with out codecs?

    Well chances are you can't play it BECAUSE you're missing the codecs. Google for "all in one codec pack". It's free, and it installs every common codec you should need. Then you can use the included "media player classic" or just use Winamp/Windows Media Player or whatever, since all the codecs are registered for you.

    Has all the codec integrated and works for MP4's.

    ffdshow download decoder build and download matroska splitter & install that as well. Will allow playback of MPEG-4 ASP and MPEG-4 AVC {H.264} in .mp4 containers in Windows Media Player.

    Avoid QuickTime it's a pile of crap.
