Hitman Blood Money

I am having a preblem with Hitman I bought today.

Every time I start the game I get a message telling me to go to PAL 60 mode as opposed to PAL 50. Now I know for a fact that I am in PAL60 mode already as when I change source on my TV it pops up in the corner that it is recieving a signal at 720p 60Hz.

    Any ideas??

I am stumped, there is a section in the back of the game book that tells you how to change the display settings on the 360, basically go into display settings, then PAL settings and change it. But in display settings there is only the option to change the input resolution, ie; 48p, 720p, 1080i, and there is no PAL section!!!!!

I think if you boot up your xbox in SD rather than HD u can change the pal settings. Then switch back to 720p.

yeah just tried that and it worked.

Bleeding stupid thing..... if the output is 60Hz it should work!! It must check the PAL setting before loading the game, which makes no sense at all as this dosen't even enter into it in HD.

    Madness I tell ya!!

    Hey,

Could somebody please guide me blind on how to set-up 60Hz? I've only got the vga cable and therrefore it won't give me the option of going to 60hz. Basically, if I plug out the vga able from the 360, could you tell me how many screens to scroll across and waht buttons to press exactly? Bit of a bummer but cheers.

I'm using the VGA meself, to change to 60hz I had to lug the 360 downstairs, hook it up to a normal tv with the component cable, and then the option to switch to 60hz should be under display settings

bit of a pain in the bum

I gave my component cable away.

I'm not sure if you can even run the console without a video cable plugged into something.

    oh dear

They had trouble getting their hands on one and I was playing HD games no problem with my vga cable. Little did I know a problem like this would ever crop up.

thanks to the person who advised to plug in the scart cable and enable pal 60, you are a genius. :D

i have my 360 connected up with a vga cable and couldn't play the hitman demo (or some original xbox games like star wars: battlefront 2) but i didn't think there was a way around it. :o

boo hiss & shame  on microsoft for letting something so stupid and silly go unchecked...

Surely if I just plugged out the vga cable and turned on the 360, it would still operate without sound and picture. So, if someone could give me step by step instructions as to how to change it to pal 60? Would this work?

no, when there is no av cable connected the xbox doesnt output av because it knows there is no cable connected.
