That was happening to me recently , Turned out to be : Was at a lan , had to add a DNS number to my network settings . When i got home didnt work , was almost at that stage where u decide to re-install,remembered DNS number removed it , fixed problem straight away. This may not be ur problem but you never know.

It was happening to me as well, you can fix it by updating punkbuster because for some strange reason it was not updating itself, once I updated it I have had no problems:)

    update application http://www.evenbalance.com/

It's not the same problem Karma. When you change gfx card or monitor you just need to remove the BF2 folder in /my docs/ to reset the game so it'll detect your new card.

Isn't the cache folder enough to remove?

    Simple fix..

Go to your documents nd setting..
And A Folder Called "battlefield 2" there are these folders "DMP", logo cash
and "Mods/bf2" ( this folder contains folder with big long names like "cash587647864362784768966428" delete them all.

In folder "dmp" or some name like that, i think...... delete everything.
Then in "logo Cash" delete everything there.
Then go to "Mods/Bf2" delete everything in there,

All of the above folders are in your Documents.
DO NOT GO NEAR YOUR GAME INSTALL

This will reset all your game setting, but not your accounts and graphics setting's

If all that fails. just delete the whole "Battlefield" folder from your documents.
This will reset all your bf2 data. "not you stats" your local data,
IE: graphics setting, login accounts and button setup's ect ect..
just redo your game setting and retrieve your BF2 account, away you go.

    Happy Days. All fixed
