I'm soon going to take the plunge and get some CD decks. I've been Mp3 Dj'ing for ages but its time to get into the real world. But there are so many out there i want to know what is the best option to go for.

The industry standard is the Pioneer CDJ1000 - but really what is the difference between this and the lower models - 800, 700, 500 etc as the 1000's may be overkill for what I need..

As I have most of my music on mp3, I'd perfer mp3 compatibility to save me having to burn 100's of cd's. However I think only the MK2 Pioneers can play mp3's - am I right, or are there other options? I think the Technics look really cool, but are they as good? What about other makes like Numark, Stanton, Gemini etc?

A whole package new can cost a serious whack so I'd perfer to look carefully and pick up a set 2nd hand perhaps with a mixer etc too.

I'd appreciate any advice you can give me
    Cheers
    Zascar
