    Who's toddling along to this later? Myself and halfbaked will be heading in. Anyone else? I'm hoping to see Chief Brody and Ionapaul sitting at the same table.

    :p

    Wears a salmon coloured jumper every week. Looks somewhat like:

    last week, he had a monster stack with 3 tables left, then with 2 left he was down to 1500 300/600.

    then gets moved back to my table and by the time the ft is formed he is the chip leader again. hes wreckless!

    find out how he did he. was still going strong when i went out in 7

    How did he do it - read my blog for my part in helping to resurrect the mighty man himself!

    I will probably head in for a while tonight - god help me if I have to play next to him, I think I'm still on tilt.

    I think he was sitting to my left last night. (acctually after reading ionapauls blog maybe it wasnt him..he isnt a guy who looks over the flop like a 4 year old trying to reqady ABC for the first time is he?)

    I had at the poorest table ive ever played at in a live tournament but I was so card dead last night it wwasnt a joke...I tried to blufff two pots but calling stations just wouldnt go away with any pair/any kicker any draw.

    I saw some1 call a pf raise from the BB Kxx on the flop...all in situation....the caller throughs over K5 and hits his 5 on the river.

    I saw one guy call an all in with Q7o.

    I couldnt even get calling hands....80% of my hands had a deuce or 3.

    3 hands after the break I decide to push my last 1.6k with 33 from the button where there wasonly one limper.

    chief brody woke up in the SB with Jacks.

    There was this one guy at our table who took his cards off the table to look at them i was two away from him and i could see what he had everytime. he was involved in about 70% of pots chasing any sort of draw ..

    I was never so amused or bemused at a poker table in my life.

    were you on table 1 seat 5? if so, dude what were you up to?

    It must have been nuts at every table, I was at table 7 to start and it was a case of limp, limp, limp, limp, Raise 5BB, CALL, CALL, CALL, CALL, WTF... At one stage 2 all ins and a 3rd guy is thinking about it and is V disapointed he has to fold. The 2 all ins turn over AJ and A9, Mr disapointed tell me he had KQ o/s and he is sorry he did not call..:confused:

    There was a big field last night, 80 runners in total. Played some good stuff. Down to 3 tables, I'd just doubled up to 14k when i look down at pocket kings.

    ABC (similar enough player to Chief Brody only far less aggressive) goes all in-UTG for 8k. Folded to me, in LMP I push. Chip leader has a big dwell up and calls for 90% of his stack.

    On their backs

    UTG: 66
    Me: KK
    CL: AQo

    equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
    Hand 1: 56.6668 % 56.58% 00.08% { KK }
    Hand 2: 23.7022 % 23.62% 00.08% { AQo }
    Hand 3: 19.6310 % 19.55% 00.08% { 66 }

    The oh so cruel board - 23354

    Meaning UTG takes the main pot and CL hits the low straight and takes the sidepot, leaving me cursing my bad luck. At this stage, I'm expecting the outdraws as it's happening every week in that tournament when I've just got a decent stack together. That 4 on the river was obviously rigged.

    Instead of being tournament chip leader it was goodnight from me.

    Everyone will be pleased to know that Chief Brody had a healthy stack when I saw him going to the final table. He was all-in at my table with A2 vs AT at my table for 6k. Flop 22x. Hmmm.

    Slightly after that JJ vs QQ. Flop Jxx. Hmmmm. Aaaaggghhhhhh. GGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    Will do a full report shortly.

    Ian, I actually was sitting three to his right at my starting table! Still felt on tilt seeing him sit down, all I wanted was to get into a pot with him. No such luck though. I'll get him in the near future.

    Boys...Boys, you just not seeing the Genius of the man. He knows what's going to happen before it does! :o

    He just reels you in by giving you superior hands to start, knowing full well he will outdraw you (this he knows as a fact, and it's nothing to do with being jammy).

    We should all be worshiping at his poker alter.

    Hi hafbaked, saw you sitting at a cash table when I landed in the door so he obviously got you too!!!

    This is very spooky stuff - he is up there with Buddha as a zen master/jedi knight type....

    Not only that, he knows were talking about him. :o

    He's now busy crafting an even more horrific beat, the likes of which we have yet to encounter (and for which pokerstove can not calculate).

    I feel he's working on a no cards in the hand outdraw special, with you holding nuts. This will revolutionise poker as we know it... the nuts will no longer be the best possible hand!

    You may also be delighted to hear that he won it in the end too. I came 3rd for 520 bills. It was down to the last 3, with Brody be uber aggressive, pushing almost every button and when he was SB. He had about 110K, I had about 65K blinds were 4k/8k, I pushed with A8 on the button, he called, BB folds, I throw down the A8, he groans in disgust - wonderful, he must have a raggier Ace, nope pocket 8s if you don't mind. No ace and I'm gone.

    Ian, I was at that table when your Kings were beaten, very tough indeed. That foreign guy with the AQ sucked out on so many people last night, I've never seen anyone catch so many 2, 3,4 outers and yes he made the final table and burned a guy with a 1-outer. I think he came 4th in the end.

    Washout, What seat were you at on table 1? I was in seat two for a good while

    Lol.

    On a sidenote folks, I spoke to John last night and when the new schedule comes in at the start of June, the starting stack will be changed to 4000 -2k+2k, so there should be more play in it as a result.

    Spectre what seat were you in on table 1? I can't really remember many faces from that table other than the guy with 66 as he's a reg and the foreign lad.

    It was harsh as it's the second time in 3 weeks I've had my kings dogged when all in preflop. I think next time I'll have to fold them :p

    Edit: I really can't believe he called with AQo either. How did the guy with 66 get on? He's a nice guy, very friendly and good to rob blinds off when you push after he limps. Lol.

    I might have to make a reappearance at this next week. I can't believe that guy won. Himself and Eddie the Eagle should play a heads up match. It'd be over in 4 hands!!!!!!

    My thoughts on reading that were something like:

    :eek: :confused::( :mad:

    In all seriousness, that's his second or third win in that tourney. He makes loads of final tables. Is it humanly possible to be that lucky? He must have one of the best tournament records in the Sporting Emporium.

    I think Newtons third law is taking place in the SE every week. Unfortunately for me the chief is getting the upside and me like lots of other are feeling the downside.

    i dont think ive ever been at a table with him...is he a serial raiser/caller?

    ever possible to put him on a hand? ever possible to make him fold his draws?

    He raises alot when he thinks people are weak. He also unwittingly raises with rags in position but often stupidly. For example he min-raised on the button last night to 1600 with 35o and won the pot on an AJ2 when he bet 1600 after two people checked.

    I find him easy enough to read. He's a gambler at heart and will chase every draw under the sun.

    When you got knocked out, I think I was in seat 2, with mr AQ on my right. I was on your table at the start as well in seat 1 but was moved early on. There was one hand were the blinds were 50/100 and there was about 6 million limpers on my big blind including yourself, I made it 1100 to go and took it down preflop. I think you said that you could see it coming or something. Remember?

    The guy with 66 busted out in 12/13 I think. He seemed to have fairly rotten luck for most of the night, he got involved in loads of races but didn't win any. Your spot on about robbing his blinds too, it's just too easy:cool: Absolute gent though

    Ah yeah now I know you. I recognised your face from before. yes that hand you duly punished the limpers. I thought it was a good time to limp on the button with 23s. That'll learn me.

    That HU would be great...both of them slow playing K4, both laughing to themselves as they trap each other pre-flop for the other's full stack!

    BTW, the reason Chief groaned when he saw his 88 up against spectre's A8 is because if this was reversed, the Chief's A8 would be more than 83.75% in front, I mean he would have 3 (read 'em, THREE) big bad aces to catch and a very generous 5 cards in which to hit 'em! His Ax is better than anyone else's KK, that's a stone cold guarantee.

    He split two tournies last week as well - he probably has the best tournie record in there alright. I tell you, he is the Outdraw God's earthly messiah, he can probably turn water in some sort of salmon-y coloured beverage.

    When our hole cards were revealed, I was raging, I asked him what the fcuk all his moaning and groaning was about, he was miles ahead. And the messiah replied:
    "You have one of my eights"

    I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or to cry.
    I'm not sure if he intentionally slowrolled me, or if he genuinely believed that I had the advantage.

    He made what could only be described as a Lazarus-like comeback - at one stage he was down to 3 big blinds with 2 tables left, he then proceeded to double through like it was going out of fashion. When he eventually ammassed a big stack again, he wielded it mercilessly, constantly putting people to tough decisions for their tournament lives. Though he may be clueless when it comes to odds and be quite easy to read, you can't deny that the man was at the front of the queue when the almighty was handing out big balls.
