Isn't it he spends that much on having a make-up artist apply make-up and being on call not just make-up. How much should he pay a proffessional beautician to be on call?

Any girls about tell us how much a beautician would cost if you used them once a week for your nails and hair and then every day to apply your make-up?

I am more bothered about Berties pay considering he is one of the best paid leaders in Europe.

I think it's an absolute non-story. I think it was a bigger waste of tax payers money for the TD to bring it up in the first place; it's just petty points scoring.

Blair came under fire for spending a fraction of Berties amount last year.

    Blair's make-up bill tops £1,800

Media reports said make-up costs spiralled because of stressful times
Prime Minister Tony Blair has spent more than £1,800 of taxpayers' money on cosmetics and make-up artists since coming into office, it has emerged.
Between 1999 and 2005 Downing Street paid £1,050.22 for cosmetics for Mr Blair's media appearances.

Another £791.20 was spent over the past two years on make-up artists.

But this seems modest compared with Irish premier Bertie Ahern, who is reported to have spent more than £115,000 on his appearance since 1997.

The Independent reported in June that Mr Ahern had spent 28,000 euros (£19,000) on make-up in the past year, and said his office had confirmed that since 1997 Mr Ahern's appearance had cost taxpayers 167,000 euros (£115,895).

Anyone remember *that* cream suit? I wonder if that was factored into his "appearance" costs...

Surely its worth the 500 a week of tax payers money to keep him looking respectable. Left to his own devices he'd be wearing an anorak and a flat cap. I also remember the longish hair he had in the 80s.

I think he should keep it on, judging how he looks without it...

    Can i ask the question?
Is this not a bit feminnine(can't spell it today)
