renting a scooter to try it out

Is there somewhere in dublin i can rent out a scooter to give it a go. Is it realistic that a 39 yr old female will leave her car behind and get on a scooter for half hour in the rain to beat the traffic? is anyone selling a 50 cc scooter? thanks

Some of the rider training places will rent you a scooter or small bike for an initial trial, should be in a sticky or in the FAQ.
Yes it's realistic, it doesn't rain as often as you'd think, and modern clothing (textile) means you stay warm and dry whatever the weather.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.
