anybody else notice their xbox 360 wireless controller eats up batteries,
no way its the offical 40hours of use on 2 AA batteries.

I use the headset a lot for bf2 360 (when it works, but thats another story), it must be that draining away the power..

Anybox splashed out on the rechargeable kit or is it another "wireless network" scam.

Yeah 40 hours my arse, the batteries that came with died after about 20 hours i'd say . I invested in some uniross rechargeable batteries i think they are 2100mah or 2500mah cant remember which ones... I put them in the controller when the normal ones died been in the controller for a good while now.

yeah I got the recharge kit, works great as I've got 2 wireless controllers so I charge one while playing with the other.

Just got the recharge packs last week, hope they're good.

The wireless controller is class though. Very handy when i'm using the 360 to watch DVDs, and i'm lying in bed.

    Lazy is good!

I suspect that the 40hours they claim is only for when you have the rumbles turned off and are doing no online play with the headset. I've got the play and charge kit, would have prefered the quick charge one but it wasn't available at the time, and I probably get about 20hours out of it before the lights start flashing.

The gauge on the dashboard does not seem to always agree with when the lights start flashing though as I've had that showing 3 bars at the same time as the controler is flashing to say the battery is flat.

Yeah I got like 20 2700mah batteries and a 15 min charger for my 4 controllers!
Works like a charm, but there always running out, prob not 40 hours! Wireless controllers are the best thing since sliced bread tho!
