    They are called DVB-S2
They exist, but not quite... Probabily no problem just after world cup!

Forget about USB/USB2 that doesn't even work well on ordinary TV.

    PCMCIA/PCCard or PCMCIA.

Some may need a graphics card with HDTV h.264 support such as Nvida 6800 (not 6900 oddly) or ATI X1600 or better (The X1300 only seems to do SD MPEG4).

Also for HD Disk playback or Pay TV with CAM & viewing card you need a Graphics card with HMCP enabled HDMI and a Monitor/TV with HDMI/HMCP.

Most HDTV graphics cards just have component & DVI.

HDCP not HMCP. And only for as long as the drivers remain unhacked.

My TV card "doesn't" support watching Macrovision flagged broadcasts and my TV out card "generates" Macrovision on, well, everything actually.

Or, more accurately, it did. With the drivers that came in the box. Linux/BeOS and 3rd-party Windows drivers disable it. HDCP generation on graphics cards will be almost certainly driver controlled.

Macrovision is evil. I'll never watch Sky Box office again unless I have a Macrovision remover. Pay for a film and have the top 2" of picture tear the whole time!

And a Monitor connected via a Tuner in a VHS doesn't work at all.

Why don't they give stuff better acronyms and then I might be able to spell them?
