I might go to this tonight because I got some money I just got paid.. But I might have to "go to a cash machine" first.. I just hope no1 at the gig causes "unnecessary trouble" ahem :D

well i thought it was good. not brilliant, not tripe, but good. i thought his interaction with the crowd was, to say the least, corny. i mean, did he really ask people in brixton "are you louder then the people in dublin?" i think not mate.

i didnt think the vocal sound in the songs was as good as it could have been. certain parts of the nite i couldnt hear his voice over the music at all. but some songs were even better live then on the album. Gotta Reason, Unnecessary Trouble, Move on Now and Feltham is singing out were all excellent.

first time i was at a gig in the ambassador. last time i was there i was watching austin powers 1! think its better used as a music venue though, then a cinema.

oh and i was commenting to my friends on the amount of fisherman jackets (all the pockets, high collars) in the crowd, myself included, and then band walk out and 2 of them were wearing them!!!

I agree, it was a decent gig, not earthshattering brilliant but hardly bad either. Started off quite badly I thought, sound and the vocals weren't great but that got progressively better as the gig went on and despite the cheesey interaction with the crowd (they did talk to the crowd as if we were all 15 year olds which got annoying) the gig was enjoyable enough. The new songs they played didn't blow me away though, hopefully with some studio treatment they'll come out better.

No support act whatsoever (apart from a crappy DJ). First gig I'd ever been to without a proper support act, I didn't think it helped the crowd.
