Aldi DVD Recorder

Hi, anyone got one of those Tevion Dvd Recorders? Well I got one myself looks alright, but when powered on the disc drive wouldn't open.

It doesn't show anything in the manual on how to reset it. The other thing is Im using scart to connect to my tv and there is no picture.

Just seemed like a bargin at the time at only E129.00 have a look at the latest aldi mag.

Grabbed one of these myself today. So far so good, just tuned in the tv channels and did a quick on-the-fly record. Good quality build and has plenty of features including DV-in, which I have yet to try. You may just have picked up a faulty one

When you put it on first nothing works until to enter in the date and time. You need to get the picture up on the screen first.

I played some divx and whilst I never saw divx played on a dvd player before, this looks good to me.

Have you tried swapping the scart connection around as some of them are one way only?

I have a scart lead that was and never noticed until I moved it to a new location and when reconnecting had a lot of bother untill I figured it out.

Hey, Yea I got it sorted scart connections where the wrong way around .

Anyone notice that the drive is quite noisey? There is a constant 'clicking' noise from the player when a disc is inserted. If it persists I will be taking mine back . Pitty.

i got one too ... it works fine on play back ... no clicking so far ...

however after recording using the timer the system locks up on the recorded disc ...

it also then on reset cannot play this disc ( it must not be finalised as wont play on my pc either )

anyone else see this fault or am i dooing something wrong

( nice recorder all the same for the price )

I think your doing something wrong cause everything you have wrong, isn't wrong with mine.

This also happen on mine, I let it record to the end of the disk and when I tried to play it back it would not play, have not let it record to the end of the disk since and have not had any problems.

Also noticed that the image is a little blurry on my TV when viewing through the tuner or a recorded disc, will have to try a normal DVD and see if its still the same or try it on another TV.
