I'm looking for solo violin pieces to play.
I need something to occupy myself with until I find a teacher again after the summer, so I've been trying to find some good pieces, but I don't really have a clue.
I've been looking around and the theme from Schindler's List has a lovely violin part, so I may try that, but I'm looking for suggestions, perhaps for more classical kind of things? Anyone have any ideas? (I'll be working on grade 7 once I find a teacher btw, so it doesn't have to be beginner stuff...)

I'm addicted to playing Salut d'Amour by Edward Elgar. I know it's not very challenging but it's a beautiful piece, and written for his wife whilst on honeymoon! Romantic!! I'm such a softie!

Nocturne for Violin and Piano by Chopin is really beautiful. Or Concerto No1 in A by Accolay is good and I think it might actually be recommended for Grade 7...
