    Dublin V Westmeath

Very important game for both sides if tehy are to continue their development. Dublin claimed the Div 2 title with some ease and Westmeat competing in the Liam after winning the Christy Ring last year. They clashed in league semi with Dublin coming out on top with a few points to spare and i think this will be the case again.

    Laois v Offaly

Home clash for Laois but after Offaly's impressive league campaign i really cant see them putting it up to Offaly at all. I thin Offaly will win this rather comfortably. The only hope for Laois is that Offaly concede a lot of free's and james Young keeps on slotting them over. Also live on RTE 2 today.

AS a Dublin man im embarssed to be beaten by Westmeath. All of this talk of Dublin hurling on the up and so forth and they go out and get beaten in a match they should be winning easily. Westmeath showed the greater heart and hunger and in the end throughly deserved their win. Conditions were terrible but it was the same for both sides so no excuses. It should be some day out down in Mullingar when the cats come to town.

As a Dublin hurler I was also pleased to see Westmeath win.

My main issue is Dublin still are focused on attacking the player and not the ball. Tommy Moore is an example of all the things wrong in Dublin hurling, his tackle today and another against Wexford shows that playing a "thug" and no a hurler will always pull down our hope of becoming a power in Hurling.
