i got a set of tannoy mercury m2 speakers, and i now need an amp. the speakers are 60w 8 ohm speakers. i would like an amp with output of those specs. most small amps are only 4 ohm output.i know it shouldnt affect sound quality but id still like to get an 8 ohm amp. i am on a budget of €300 or lower. any recommendations? also, something with as many inputs as possible would be great

Id recommend something like this , its around the 300 euro mark , its an AV reciever/ amp and sounds great for music and home cinema , it gets a brilliant write up on av forums and in a few magazines , and as I said on the other post , the impedence is switchable !

Having said that , there really is no need to worry about connecting 8 ohm speakers to 4 ohm amps , thats fine !

Anyway , this amp is a cracker , this is the first link I found it on , but its about that price everywhere.

Here it is in technik direckt for around 250 mark , great price , great amp !

The output wattage on this system is marked at 100W per channel , however the max drive wattage per channel is around 50 which means that it will be OK with your Tannoys
