Has anyone ever flown out from waterford airport to Luton. What kind of planes fly out from here, are they those propellor ones or are they proper turbine jets.To Luton what kind of plane would it be.Hate those prop ones, hit a bad air pocket and they drop like crazy.AAgggh:eek:

Prop ones i'm afraid :( The runway is too short for "proper planes".

Use them plenty of times, they're prop planes.

Don't forget about the €5 stealth tax you have to pay to use the airport.

AerArron is the only airline that uses waterford airport and only uses props.

Also the airport has no bus service from the city so it will be a €15 cab ride and of couse the €5 airport impovment charge when you check in. If you havent used the airport before be warned its very small and there is only a very bad cafe there.

Nothing wrong with prop planes though, maybe a bit noisier but still v comfortable and safe.

I thought cityjet flew from waterford and they use small jets?

Cityjet flys BAE146's. The last airline to flyout of Waterford before Aerarron was Euroceltic they were good and friedly its a a pity they went out of business.

Aerarann use ATR72's for the Luton flight aswell as manchester and birmingham, Lorient

Aerarann are now using Bae146 to fly from waterford to Malaga, Faro, Amsterdam, Bordeaux and Galway
