    Hi all,:)

I have been contributing to the self-defence/martial arts forum for a few months now however as I am getting more into fitness I wanted to start posting here as there seems to be a wealth of knowledge that can help me.

A little bit about me. I have been studying martial arts since 1992 and have been teaching it while still being a student since 1997 and have a school in Blanchardstown. However that is all that I will say about that and will keep the posts on fitness or only briefly refer to it in the context of fitness.

In 1998 I qualified as a fitness instructor with the NCEF and was awarded a certificate through them by the University of Limerick and worked as an instructor for a year or so. I worked in Total Fitness part time for a few months and as a full time instructor in a gym attached to an apartment block on the southside. However while I enjoyed learning about fitness I didn't like worked as an instructor and went back to my old job as a barman. Doing the course was not a waste as I was able to bring my knowledge of fitness into my martial arts which I feel has been very useful.

Anyway I am 35 now and would like to get much more into fitness and have recently joined Westpoint in Blanchardstown. I have a lot of questions that I want to ask you guys but before I do I just wanted to say hello first. I know every forum has there own rules of etiquette so if I cross over any boundaries a quick pm would be appreciated.

    Regards all,

    Thanks Boru,

I like some of the stuff you have done so far and hate you for doing it before me. :D Anyway I will be picking your brains on this forum.

    Best regards,
