Is a Visa Needed for Turkey?

I have a business trip coming up to Istanbul and I was wondering if there are any special Visa entry requirements for Turkey?

For some reason I have a funny reason there is... has anyone who has been recently care to fill me in?

I was there a couple of months ago, you need a visa alright. Cost me 10 euro for a 3 month multiple entry visa. I didn't specify I wanted a multiple entry visa when I was at the border, I was just told it'll cost 10 euro and that's what I was given.

So you can get it on arrival then? I don't have to get onto the Turkish embassy in advance or anything?

Yeah, I just showed up at the Syrian/Turkish border and got mine no problem.

It must have gone up in price.
When I was there it was £5stg and charged as your passport was stamped.

I got the impression it was put in the officers pocket...

It's really just an entry tax on certain countries. When I went a few years ago you simply queued up at one desk at the airport to pay for the sticker and then you had to join another queue for immigration. It was £5 stg both times I went.

Yep. After a small bus trıp from the smolderıng aırport ıt cost me just 10 euro for the Vısa... English people have to pay 15 euro though, which is highy amusing.... payback for the crusades no doubt.

The Visa said that I wasn't allowed to work in Turkey... but my reason for travel was business and I have to go to many meetings here as part of my job, but I didn't fell like arguing that particular point.

Hello Frank thanks for given idea but I have some more question that {{if I apply for business visa... is I need any invitation latter form Turk mfg. or supplier for the application }} can you help me for this my question because I really need the visa in urgent but the problem is not any supplier ready to send invitation. I am from INDIA.

Well I got my Visa at the airport. They have different rates and different agreements with different countries, so I don't know what their deal with India is.

I don't know about a business visa, but I only was there for 3 days and just had a few meetings to go to, so a regular visa did me fine.

Your best bet would be to confirm details with your travel agent or the local Turkish consulate.
